In two weeks we go into the studio, where Bart-Jan Baartmans will record and produce the new album. We're going to make it an ambitious project. After we record with the musicians of The Simple Life (apart from Bart and me: Arthur Lijten, Rinus Raaijmakers, Harry Hendriks, BJ Baartmans and Birgit Wijdemans) we plan to go to Austin for some weathered gritty (Walt Wilkins) & sweet angelic (Tina Mitchell Wilkins) vocals, and also some genuine heartbreaking sounds from pedal steel master Kim Deschamps. Then off to Gilad Atzmon in Londen to ask him if he will contribute his great clarinet and saxophone playing, and last but not least we hope the talented Allison Russell and JT Nero will add some extra soul to the vocals.
