GRAND CAFE BERLAGE in Eindhoven is a nice venue for music and other stage performances. After the 'Simple life' concert Léon Hamers of Berlage wanted to organize more musical happenings at his place. Next to the already existing jazz sessions of bass player Ludo van der Winkel Bart will be programming series of concerts with singer-songwriters. Most of the time Bart will play with Rinus Raaijmakers, Harry Hendriks and Arthur Lijten in order to give the guests the best support possible. Already booked are JW Roy, Elizabeth Simonian, Ernst van der Pasch, Robin van Beek's 'Taylor Made project' and 'De vaste kerstmannen'. Free entrance. See concertlist for dates.
AUBERGE VINCENT in Nuenen is a nice hotel that tries to support live music. Bart is programming a series of duo gigs on sunday afternoons.
In the concertlist you'll find the Auberge dates. Most of the sessions are unrehearsed concerts with Bart accompanying a singer. Concerts with Gé Titulaer, Birgit Wijdemans, Rinus Raaijmakers were really great. Jopie Jonkers and Koen de Cauter played two beautiful sets at one of the occasions where Bart had to play somewhere else. Be welcome to attend the shows. Entrance is free. It's possible to enjoy dinner afterwards.
Arthur, Harry, Rinus and Bart recorded the new cd of ERNST VAN DER PASCH. 'Misschien gebeurt het morgen' was released in the beginning of October. First presentation on October 15 in Amstelveen. New songs, in Dutch, by a talented songwriter, singer ánd comedian.
IZALINE CALISTER recorded her beautiful new album 'Speransa' in the beginning of 2009. The official presentation took place in The Hague on the first of May. Bart contributed to this project by writing and singing a vocal arrangement of one of her original songs. Together with Giovanca Ostiana, Tamara Nivillac and Izaline he sings 'Juny'. Check out the new album of this highly talented singer from Curaçao, Izaline Calister. Speransa won the worldmusic Edison 2009 !!
Bart, Arthur, Harry and Rinus recorded a cd with the Cypriotic singer ELIZABETH SIMONIAN. A very special project with her own songs and arrangements. Pianist Thierry Castel played on several duo tracks. The album was produced by GILAD ATZMON, a brilliant London based reedplayer. You can hear him on the recordings too.
